Departures every Sunday from early July until end August.
Travel duration 4 days/4 nights. Vacation price includes transportation and guide for the duration of tour, accommodation in 3 and 4 star hotels with bath/shower and breakfast. 3 dinners. Admission to The Blue Lagoon and Glaumbær Museum. Pickup and return to Keflavík International Airport.

The tour starts with pickup from Keflavík airport (or hotel) upon arrival. We go directly to the Blue Lagoon, a bright blue mineral-rich swimming pool with geothermally heated water in the middle of a large lava field. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in the Blue Lagoon area.

At 08:30 we head for Borgarnes, homestead of 10th century Viking/poet Egill Skallagrimsson. We continue to the Glaumbær folk museum in Skagafjörður and continue to Akureyri for a sightseeing tour of this capital of North Iceland. We stop at Goðafoss waterfall (Fall of the Gods) on our way to the Lake Myvatn area for dinner and an overnight stay.

We start at 08:00 for a tour of the Lake Myvatn area, one of the richest nesting ground for wetbirds in the world. Pseudocraters, solfataras, craters and volcanoes also make this tour a fascinating geological study. Stops include Dimmuborgir, Grjótagjá and Námafjall. In the afternoon we head for Dettifoss, Europe´s mightiest waterfall, with a stop at the volcanic crater Víti (Inferno) and the geothermal power plant Krafla. We now drive around the Tjörnes peninsula after stopping at Hólmatungur, Hljóðaklettar (Echo Rocks) and the horseshoe-shaped cliffs of Ásbyrgi. Dinner and overnight stay in the Lake Myvatn area.
Dettifoss road may be closed until mid June.

We start at 08:00 to return over the impressive highland desert track, Sprengisandur, between Vatnajökull and Hofsjökull glaciers. Stops include Aldeyjarfoss, Nýidalur, Landmannalaugar. We pass the infamous volcano Hekla and the replica of Saga farm at Stöng. Arrive at your hotel in Reykjavík ca. 19:00.
Sprengisandur road may be closed until 20th July.
